About Us


Paul created in 2005 O'Connor Woodworking as a custom cabinet shop, focusing mainly on creating custom cabinets and hoods. 

In 2019, Paul created an online custom wood exhaust hood division, O'Connor Wood Products. Here we make any style or size custom hood out of any solid wood, plywood, veneer or laminate. We offer unfinished, primed, painted (any Sherwin Williams color) or stained (any Minwax color) in any combination desired. 

Our 1 piece solid state custom hoods are easily fastened to wall studs and fitted to the insert of your choosing.

I love my new hood. Paul was so helpful and answered all my questions. I chose to stain the hood myself to match some other natural wood elements in my new kitchen, and Paul gave me detailed instructions on what to use and how to do it. The finished product is everything I hoped for. Using a natural stain shows off the beautiful grain of the white oak. Shipping to California was not cheap, but I’m thrilled with the outcome.

Paul made my hood to my exact measurements. It is such a thing of beauty! Even the crate he built was well constructed. I followed his recommendation for hood insert and I’m extremely happy. I asked Paul to leave it primed, so I could plaster it. I had some structural challenges for my vent and Paul worked with me to give me exactly what I needed.
